After Your Trip - Keep the Memories

You're back in your own bed, the jet lag is gone, and the bags are unpacked.  Now it's time to make some fun memory items to help remember your adventure!

PHOTO BOOK

There are lots of really cool trip memorabilia ideas available these days; the most common and my favorite, is the photo book.  You can upload a selection of the photos you took on the trip, and either manually or automatically arrange them into a photo album.  You can add textual descriptions, stickers, and all kinds of other fun features to make the album a blast to review as a family.

VIDEO COMPILATION

Along the same lines of the photo album, you can upload all your videos and pictures, and create a video compilation of your trip.  Don't feel like doing it yourself?  There are even companies out there that will do it for you.

KEY CHAIN KEEPSAKE

Want another way to remember the places you've visited?  There are several companies that offer keepsake rings that you can collect from each place you've visited.  You cam order a starter set, then you order a new ring for each place you visit.

MAPS

There are some really cool map options for travel keepsakes out there.  You can order a map of the world in a variety of mediums (my favorite is the wood version) and put a pin in every place you've visited and a pin in all the places you would like to visit.

SHADOW BOX

If you're like me, you keep all your train and museum tickets, thinking some day you're going to do something neat with them.  Well, I ended up with boxes full of colorful little keepsakes, and I found the most realistic way to display them was with a shadow box.  You can either get one specific to a trip, or even just have one ongoing one.  Every time you get back from traveling, pop your little keepsakes in the box!
